SUMMARY:The Poetry of Belonging
DESCRIPTION:In this workshop\, we will read and write poems about belonging and the places where we feel most at home.  This workshop is an introduction to poetry therapy\, which is a therapeutic approach that uses poems\, stories\, and other forms of written and spoken language to promote healing\, personal growth\, and self-awareness. \nBoth facilitators are qualified Poetry Therapy Practitioners and members of the Irish Poetry Therapy Network. \nBy the end of the workshop\, you will have taken part in individual and group writing activities and created at least one piece of writing. You will be able to download a set of poems on belonging and other related subjects to take away with you.  You will also have found out about the Irish Poetry Therapy Network and how poetry therapy can support your creativity\, self-expression and wellbeing. \nFacilitated by: María Ortega García and Shelley Tracey
