In some cases \u201cse\u201d is used in an impersonal sense. The impersonal \u201cse\u201d structure is a way of talking about things that get done when the subject is unknown or unimportant. This is a very common structure in Spanish but English doesn\u2019t have this structure so it is translated in different ways depending on the meaning. One of the uses, the one that is important for us in this article, is to give instructions.<\/p><p>Example:<\/p><p>\u2013 La paella\u00a0<b>se hace<\/b>\u00a0con arroz, carne, verduras y pescado. Primero\u00a0<b>se fr\u00eden<\/b>\u00a0los trozos de carne y pescado y las verduras. Luego\u00a0<b>se a\u00f1ade<\/b>\u00a0el arroz y el agua.<br \/><i>\u2013 The paella is made with rice, meat, vegetables and fish. First, the meat and fish pieces are fried.
