Welcome! I’m María
Whether you found this page after joining my workshop, spotting my name in the festival program, meeting me in a corridor, or simply scanning this QR out of curiosity, I’m so glad you’re here.
I put this space together so you can explore the work we shared (or will share!) in your own way and at your own pace. You’ll find the booklet we used during the workshop, which you’re welcome to download even if you couldn’t attend in person. It won’t tell the whole story, of course, but it offers a taste of the practices and approaches I like to bring into my group sessions.
There’s also a recording of the workshop, in case you missed it or want to revisit something that resonated. And, if you’re curious to explore a little further, I’ve added two additional booklets that you’re welcome to browse.
If you’d like to stay connected, I’d love that. You can sign up for my newsletter (I write occasionally; no inbox flooding, promise!) or reach out by email or WhatsApp, whatever feels most natural for you.
Thanks for taking a moment to be here. I hope these resources support you, spark something, or accompany you as you move through the festival. And who knows, maybe our paths will cross again soon.

Recording to guide anyone who didn’t attend the workshop.
This is NOT a replay, but a recording
Email me your writing, or WhatsApp me if you prefer to send a voice message. I respond in kind.

Oh! Just one thing before you go!
This winter, I’m excited to invite you to a unique Wintering Writing Circle. It’s not your typical writing group; we’ll be exploring the reflective nature of winter, its themes, and engaging with the community. I’d love to have you join us if you’re interested.
Winter is my second-favourite season (just after autumn). I find calm and depth in its darkness. It’s like being with that quiet friend who only speaks when they have something profound to say, and otherwise is silent, present, but as far away in their mind. Not the soul of the party, but the one who will call your BS, do the tough love and be the compassionate and non-judgmental support because, no matter their age, they are an old soul and know what that suffering is, what it requires and how to guide us to the other side. I like the short winter days, the low sun, the frozen grass in the early morning, and the intimacy darkness invites.
I am less introspective in summertime, but winter pulls me inwards, where reflective writing feels like a warm, comforting hot chocolate.
If you are like me, you may welcome a therapeutic writing practice in these winter weeks, guided by mythic winter figures like the Celtic Cailleach, Boreas, and other winter spirits from European folklore.
I’m eagerly looking forward to our first group writing circle, which will be on Sunday, the 14th. I can’t wait to share this reflective and creative journey with you.
